Trump cancels second Venezuela attack after prisoner release
President Donald Trump on Friday said he aborted a planned second wave of military attacks on Venezuela after the government began releasing political prisoners. Trump, who was preparing to meet oil corporations promising $100 billion in Venezuela investments, described the prisoner release as a sign of 'Seeking Peace' and cancelled the attacks due to this cooperation. However, Trump made clear he remains ready to use force again to achieve US objectives in Venezuela, which he has vowed to pressure into enriching American oil companies. On the same day, the US announced it seized another tanker near Venezuela as Washington enforces its oil embargo, asserting dominance over the country's key export. This follows Trump's recent warning of more US strikes in Nigeria and his admission that Muslims are also terrorist targets.
