Universityof Abuja appoints two new Deputy VCs
The University of Abuja has appointed two new Deputy Vice-Chancellors: Rosemary Udeozor as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, and Muhammad Ndagi as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration. The appointments, effective February 13, 2026, follow unopposed returns recommended by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Hakeem Fawehinmi. The institution is now officially known as Yakubu Gowon University. Prof. Udeozor, a Professor of Educational Administration and Planning, and Prof. Ndagi, a Professor of Arabic Linguistics, will serve two-year terms. Both pledged support for the university's strategic direction. The appointments follow the council's 82nd extraordinary meeting on February 13.
