USBoosts Mideast Missile Production With Lockheed, BAE, Honeywell
US defense contractors Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, and Honeywell Aerospace will quadruple production of key missile components to replenish Mideast war supplies. Agreements signed Wednesday accelerate THAAD seeker head production from 100 to 400 units annually and quadruple PrSM missile output. Lockheed Martin also expands THAAD production capacity from 100 to 400 units yearly. The moves address dwindling stockpiles used against Iranian retaliatory attacks, with THAAD seeing significant Mideast deployment. Lockheed's PrSM production increase follows a $4.94 billion Army contract. Honeywell will boost critical munitions components including navigation systems. The industrial base is now on wartime footing per DoD.
