VP Shettima, government agencies call for unity during Eid-el-Kabir
Vice President Kashim Shettima and government agencies have called on Nigerians to embrace unity, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir nationwide. In his message, the VP urged citizens to reflect on Prophet Ibrahim's values of faith, obedience and sacrifice, stressing that what binds Nigerians together outweighs divisions.
The Federal Ministry of Health urged responsible celebration with safety measures, including proper food handling, staying hydrated during travel, avoiding unsafe road practices, and paying attention to vulnerable persons. Shettima reaffirmed President Tinubu's administration's commitment to addressing insecurity, stabilizing the economy, and creating jobs, describing current reforms as necessary steps toward a stronger nation.
Multiple agencies including NITDA, NPHCDA, and the Nigeria Police Force extended holiday greetings, with NITDA noting the festival's alignment with its digital empowerment mission and the Police Force expressing hope for peace and prosperity.
