Wahid Oshodi makes history as first African on WTT board
Wahid Oshodi has been appointed to the World Table Tennis (WTT) Board, becoming the first African to serve as a full director. The ITTF Executive Board meeting in Singapore confirmed his role alongside ITTF President Petra Sörling, who was named chair. This marks a significant milestone for African representation in global sports governance, following Oshodi’s reforms as Nigeria’s table tennis president. The appointments reflect a renewed focus on governance and strategic direction for WTT, the commercial arm of the International Table Tennis Federation.
