Speaking in a recent interview with Yaw on Wazobia FM Lagos, the African Queen crooner argued that contrary to some negative predictions, Afrobeats won’t fall off the global stage. He noted that the endless pool of young talents in the country ensures continuity, noting that young artists are the lifeblood of Afrobeats. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1524595905268-5'); }); 2Face said, “Afrobeats can never die. If you listen to some of the young Afrobeats artists now, you will agree with me that the genre is in safe hands. “Recently, one of the young artists, Fola, remade my song ‘If Love Is A Crime.’ I really loved it. Soft, smooth vocals. It is amazing. The present crops of artists have special flows. I love their styles.” Don't Miss Motilola Akinlami finally reconciles with Kunle Afod years after messy fallout [VIDEO] You may like Talentless Nigerians hide behind Afrobeats – Ruggedman Ayra Starr picks Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Rema as Goats of Afrobeats Afrobeats mainly for Lagos, Yorubas – Omah Lay Why Afrobeats went global faster than Nollywood – Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde ‘I have not been the best dad lately” – 2Face ‘It’s ridiculous, disrespectful to compare Fela with Wizkid’ – 2Face
