Zedcrest Wealth launches scholarship blending career skills with financial literacy for Nigerians
Zedcrest Wealth has launched the Zedcrest Wealth Academy Scholarship initiative, partnering with ProductDive and AltSchool Africa to provide Nigerians with both career training and financial literacy education. The program addresses a common gap where people gain digital/tech skills for better jobs but lack knowledge to manage, invest and grow their increased income effectively.
Through this scholarship, 50% tuition support goes to seven ProductDive community members in The Pivot Programme (product management training), while AltSchool Africa receives five fully funded scholarships for their Introduction to Cybersecurity course. Beyond scholarships, the AltSchool partnership includes dedicated financial literacy sessions for their wider community—alumni, mentors and other learners—expanding the initiative's impact.
The Zedcrest Wealth Academy, a gamified learning hub within their app, delivers practical financial education designed to be engaging and accessible. As Renah Osiemi, Managing Director of Asset Management, stated: "Education creates opportunities, but financial literacy helps people to maximize them. Our goal is to help people build successful careers while giving them the financial knowledge to convert income into long-term wealth."
To apply, candidates must be members of the respective partner communities, verify identity on the Zedcrest Wealth app, complete a financial literacy assessment, and submit a personal statement or video explaining how the program will impact their career and financial goals. AltSchool Africa applicants additionally need minimum 85% score in their programme entrance examination. Final selection prioritizes authenticity, clarity and impact of submissions.
