Zenith Bank Launches Girl-Child Empowerment Banking On Her Tomorrow Event
Zenith Bank is set to launch the maiden edition of its Girl-Child Empowerment Programme, themed “Banking On Her Tomorrow,” as a virtual event on Monday, 12 October 2026 at 11:00 a.m. The initiative, brainchild of the Bank’s Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer Dr Adaora Umeoji—the first female GMD/CEO in Zenith Bank’s history—aims to inspire young girls to dream boldly, develop skills and confidence, and prepare for meaningful future opportunities.
The programme will feature distinguished experts across various fields, providing girls with inspiration, knowledge and practical perspectives to navigate education and careers while exposing them to skills development, mentorship and leadership opportunities. As an annual platform, it will help girls recognise their potential, broaden aspirations and make informed choices about their future.
This launch builds on Zenith Bank’s longstanding commitment to women and girls, demonstrated through its annual International Women’s Day Seminar, sole sponsorship of the Zenith Women’s Basketball League, the Women of Honour Awards in partnership with the Ford Foundation, the Pad-a-Queen Initiative, and the Z-Woman initiative that supports women‑owned and women‑led businesses with specialised funding, capacity building and networking.
The maiden edition is open to all—girls, parents, educators and the general public. Interested participants can register via the link provided in the announcement; those unable to join on Zoom can follow the live stream on Zenith Bank’s social media platforms.
Will you register a girl you know or share the event link to help empower the next generation of female leaders?
